Who am I?

Hi, I’m Michelle a licensed mental health counselor who is currently practicing in Massachusetts. I went into this field because I had a wonderful counselor growing up and she inspired me to go into this line of work. I live in Massachusetts with my spouse and two children, so I can understand the demands of being a working parent, the toll of the mental load, and the struggle to find time to help/heal ourselves(sometimes a dye job just won’t cut it!). However, if we don’t prioritize our own health, who will?

I work with adults 18+ with any gender presentation. I do not adhere to a specific style of therapy, but I firmly believe in the power of humor and the ability to laugh. I try to create an atmosphere in therapy that allows you to find or rediscover the humor and joy in your life, as we as look deeper at your past, present, or future concerns. I strive to create a neuro-affirming atmosphere and will adapt counseling strategies to what each individual client needs.

I am an active participant in counseling sessions. I will not just ask you “how does that make you feel?” ad nauseum for 53 minutes. I will engage with you, offer feedback, provide accountability, and celebrate your successes.

I primarily treat the following: anxiety, depression, minor OCD, body image concerns, late diagnosed neurodivergence, sandwich generation stressors, adjustment to life stressors, work/home stress and fatigue, decreased confidence, identity exploration, and motivational challenges.
